Achievements
Mathdoc established its Environment Committee in 2022. The members of the committee are Simon Chevance, Loren Coquille, Franck Lontin, Céline Talbi and Céline Smith. Céline Talbi is Mathdoc’s Sustainable Development Officer. The committee’s actions include the following:
Coffee and meals
- Use of a coffee machine that grinds beans
- Use of non-disposable tableware, cutlery and glasses for mealtimes
- Use of washable cloths to dry dishes and hands
Sorting paper and waste
- The coffee grounds are placed in a compost bin and emptied regularly by a volunteer
- A dedicated waste bin has been installed for organic waste, which is emptied into composts bin located on the campus
- Selective sorting allows us to sort paper, plastic and glass. A board has been installed to ensure that everyone empties these sorting bags in turn once a week
- All offices are equipped with paper collection trays
Commuting
- The “Sustainable Mobility Package” encourages the use of sustainable modes of transport. It consists of a flat fee of € 300 per year for staff members who commute by bike, electric bike or carpool more than 100 days per year.
- The employer’s payment of transport costs can be used to cover 75% of an annual or monthly subscription.
Projects
- Measure Mathdoc’s environmental footprint using GES 1point5
- Ban energy-consuming lamps: such as halogen lamps
- Manage the recycling of electronic equipment
